With a second workshop (Perugia, 24-25 June 2015) the development of a serious online role-play game for potential social economy entrepreneurs reached a next stage.
The seminar brought together research institutes for applied social sciences, social economy enterprises and networks, universities (developing and applying MOOC), networks representing local/regional authorities and IT experts. The objective was to define more in detail the content of the game (against the background of the specific needs of long-term unemployed, the target group of the project) and its implementation through IT and IT-related training instruments (including online learning management systems).
Preceding project activities focused mainly on research regarding the use of online role-play games for entrepreneurship training, on the potential of social economy enterprises to promote entrepreneurship and inclusion of disadvantaged groups, on barriers to entrepreneurship (training) for different kind of groups and on training needs of the target group.
Just some days before the project meeting partners had launched a survey to complement research findings on training needs and conditions for the use of such an online role-play game by disadvantaged persons (80 replies could already be collected in the first week after launching the survey from social economy enterprises and networks, training institutions/universities, business development agencies, employment agencies and public authorities in general etc.).
A first test version of the game is expected to be finalised in the upcoming months. Project partners are still looking for different kind of organisations/institutions willing to test the game and to act as facilitators.
The Social Seducement Project is co-financed by the European Union's Erasmus+ programme.
REVES is a partner in this project next to Tavistock Institute of Human Relations (project leader, UK), UNIR (ES), Coompanion Göteborg (SE), LE MAT (IT) and Ecobyte (IT).
More information on the progress of project activities will be published soon on this website together with a link to the website of the Social Seducement project that will shortly go online.
