When: 20 November 2015
Where: Hôtel de Ville, 5 rue Lobau – 75004 Paris
Financing, good practices, alliances: Europe can be source of inspiration, resources and collaborations able to increase the impact of social and solidarity economy. In order to help regional social economy actors to better grasp European challenges, l’Atelier, Île-de-France Europe and REVES jointly organise on the 20th November, in the framework of the 2015 Month of Social Economy in France, a forum dedicated to the European dimension of Social Economy entitled: “Social economy + Europe!”
Low turnouts and rise of nationalist parties in European elections, distrust of nations and citizens towards Europe. Is Europe now irreversibly distant from its citizens’ expectations? Is Europe only willing to leave the field to finance instead of boosting real economy?
What if another Europe was still possible? Europe is indeed the place for the emergence of citizens’ initiatives, social innovations and social economy enterprises!
Social Economy actors are able to shape another Europe. The Social Economy ecosystem – entrepreneurs, local authorities, citizens and financers – should go beyond boundaries and look to the future at EU level. Financing, good practices, partnerships: Europe can be source of inspiration, resources and collaborations able to increase the impact of social economy.
The conference will bring together social economy organisations/enterprises and their networks, public authorities, EU policy-makers and others. Interpretation from and into English and French will be available.
