DESEO aimed to analyze potentials for local clustering which geared towards improved mechanisms for an equal participation of women and men in economic and social life. By pooling experiences and resources of both local authorities and social economy operators, new methods of collaboration have been found.

DESEO partners focused on a concrete design of local clusters, which was to include a) innovative methods for the mutualisation of resources of several social economy organisations or social economy enterprises and local authorities; b) the improvement of services/structures of already existing clusters; c) criteria of local financing to support the above mentioned clusters; d) new approaches for a local valorisation of cluster experiences; e) elements for the evaluation of the performance of clusters fostering gender equality.
