Project was developed in the context of the Community Framework Strategy on Gender Equality (2001-2005). The project aimed:

• to identify and compare, on a European scale, good communication practices for a fair, well-balanced portrayal of gender,
• to compare the efficacy of communication models, methodologies and processes and to facilitate the transfer of good practices through the development of benchmarking processes,
• to promote a conscientious and respectful communication of gender equality, which avoids sexist stereotypes, and provide methodological guidelines to local authorities and social economy actors and
• to portray new roles of women in the economic and social life.
