On May 14th 2025, hosted by the City of Strasbourg, REVES member cities and regions, other cities and regions that share the values and the value of social economy, together with the social economy actors launched a “call for action” to intensify the commitment and the work for social cohesion, the social economy and democracy.
All cities, regions and social economy organisations that share the vision and commitment can sign the ‘call for action’!
“The social economy is as much a force for good citizenship and entrepreneurship in our Union as it is a resilient economy, promoting the general interest and providing innovative solutions to many social, environmental and democratic problems. It is an economy that employs persons in all their diversity and maintains the vitality of communities, contributing to making the realisation of the values and goals of the European Union visible among its citizens.
For this reason, territories, and in particular our towns and regions, act locally and provide important support, both financially and politically. With this call for action, we intend to make the voice of our regions heard so that the social economy and its partner, who cooperate on a daily basis, are recognised for their contribution and for the measures they demand for the future of this economy.
